Caitlin's Show Experience and Results
Final year in 4-H Summer of 2007!!!And ever moving upward and onward! We did it again...HIGH POINT OVER-ALL! Second year in a row and my final salute to 4-H...I went after a first in showmanship out of the 14 state regionals show in Memphis and I got it!! I went after a first in Western Riding and I got it!! Top ten in trail, top five in horsemanship! Was a terrific summer and I will always remember the incredible fun! Memphis was awesome and I loved being on the road with my horse!
We haven't done too shabby in Paint Horse showing either! Pole bending and barrels as always we ROCK! But we are also taking the points away from world champions in showmanship and trail! Foxy can do no wrong!
Summer of 2006 News!
What an incredible summer we had! We hauled up to Raleigh, North Carolina with just Foxy and the results were amazing; FIRST in western pleasure, third in showmanship and third in horsemanship. Foxy was such a good girl! We ended up being HIGH POINT WESTERN exhibitor over-all!
Here are me and Leno from the State 4-H horse show July 2005. We did very very well considering Leno just turned THREE years old. He took first in our cut of showmanship, second in western pleasure, FIRST in reining, and THIRD in a huge tough horsemanship class. When we got home, we found out we had a fan club who wanted to take Leno home with them! We made highest pointed paint horse for the second year in a row!
This summer Leno is doing flying lead changes and we are getting ready for the fall futurities~
2004 UPDATES!!! I just got back from showing at the Florida State 4-H horse show and out of 318 horses, me and my mom's good mare Foxy Conclusion, were FOURTH over-all in points!! We earned a plaque and also were highest pointed Paint horse so that earned us an embroidered director's chair. My mom was so proud of her "Miss Piggy" and we are looking forward to the long trip to Louisiana to show at the Southern Regionals. "Leno" gets to go too!
At the state 4-H show Foxy and I placed:2nd out of 68 in Sr. Showmanship, 2nd out of 53 in Sr. Horsemanship, 3rd in Western Pleasure Jr Horse, 5th in Trail I LOVED my trail placing as Foxy had NEVER done a water box before and she just strolled through it like a true champion! She is only 4 yrs old and I cannot wait to see how fast my mom gets her superior in trail. She will also start showing her in open classes.
I would love to hear from other kids my age who like horses, 4H, dogs, music and sports.
